Hello Parents,
Cool Aid Society will be open for full days during the week of January 2nd to January 5th, 2024, and there are a few things to note.
We will be charging $10.00 a day per child during this week, our Booking page will be open for this December 22, 2023.
We will be open only at our Southside location from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.
We ask that parents please book their children in on the Cool Aid website the week before January 2nd - 5th, so we may be aware of how many children we will have with us each day.
If you have any issues booking, please contact us through our website or at info@coolaidsociety.ca.
Please note that the Cool Aid Society has some exciting changes underway that will be launching at the end of January 2023. You will see new changes to the website soon and programming that will enrich and benefit all the children that participate.
We are excited to announce that we have been able to itemize or programs and the funders for each type of program we offer.
Following Winter Break membership fees/ dues are no longer required for Afterschool Program, Tween Program, Teen Program and the partnerships and benefits for the youth in these programs will be announced soon.
Our Schools out PD Days and Schools Out Breaks are funded independently and will be associated with a cost to allow for the best Breaks and outings for the Days. At this time we can do 50 Children per day at Southside and will be monitoring these closely to open them to more kids as we can.
Subsidized applications will be availability for these, limited spots available for subsidy on them.

January 2nd, 2024
On this day, Cool Aid will be attending programming at Champion Gym. Please make sure your child comes equipped with indoor running shoes, a water bottle, and clothes that are easy to move in.
To have your child(ren) attend, parents need to sign the waiver on the Champion Gym website. To do so, go to championgym.ca -> click 'Sign Up' in the top right corner, and fill out your child's information. (Make sure to sign up as a visitor)
Cool Aid will be participating in a Ninja Warrior and Yoga Class, that everyone will have a chance to experience.
January 3rd, 2024
Noon Year's Celebration will be held at the center. Kids will have the opportunity to participate in various 'New Year' themed activities, as we count down the clock! We will have the chance to create Noon Year crafts, as well as, spend time reflecting on the year that has passed and look forward to the year ahead.
January 4th, 2024
Cool Aid will be heading to the Philip J. Currie Dinosaur Museum to explore and learn a thing or two about the great animals that roamed these plains before our time. Kids will have a chance to participate and learn about the use of fossil casting, as well as, complete a scavenger hunt and meet the museum's reptiles, Mack and Peanut. At the end of the day, kids will have the opportunity to freely check out the gallery and gift shop, so parents do have the option of sending a small amount of money with their kids on this day.
January 5th, 2024
It has not been a frightfully frigid winter thus far, but that doesn't mean we can't make it with the chilly activities planned for this day! Kids will get to experiment with different icy substances, and make our indoors chillier than our outdoors with some winter crafts and fun!
