Imagine delving into the real-world experiences of local professionals, from trades to innovative entrepreneurs, unlocking the secrets of diverse industries. With a special focus on financial literacy, entrepreneurial ventures, and professional development, this program goes beyond traditional learning.

Youth will actively engage in creating group businesses, learning to navigate the complexities of running an enterprise with guidance from industry experts. We don't just stop at career insights; we weave mental health and wellness awareness into every aspect, ensuring our youth are equipped for the challenges of adulthood. Join us in shaping a future where our youth not only thrive in their chosen careers but also develop into well-rounded individuals.

Afternoons-  Monday & Thursdays- 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm for ages 5-12/13 (Kindergarten to Grade 6)

Evenings- Monday & Thursdays- 6:30- 8:00 pm for ages 13-18 (Grade 7- Grade 12)

Exploring Trades, Hobbies, and Entrepreneurial Mindset:

  • Immerse yourself in the world of trades, trades schools, hobbies, and entrepreneurial thinking. Our program will showcase the vast array of career possibilities, encouraging youth to explore their passions and consider unconventional paths.

Financial Literacy Emphasis:

  • Gain invaluable insights into financial literacy, including understanding taxes, earning paychecks, budgeting, and financial management. Accredited CPAs will demystify financial concepts, empowering youth to make informed decisions about their financial well-being.

Entrepreneurial Venture:

  • Dive into the exciting world of entrepreneurship! Youth will collaborate to create group businesses from scratch, guided by professionals in their respective fields. This hands-on experience involves marketing, sales, website creation, social media management, and fulfilling charitable requirements, providing a holistic view of running a business.

  • Learn essential professional skills such as interviewing techniques from accredited CPHRs. Our program focuses on preparing youth for future career opportunities, ensuring they have the tools needed to succeed in the professional world.

  • This program isn't just about career exploration; it's a holistic approach to adulthood. We'll link each aspect to our Mental Health and Wellness initiatives, addressing workplace stresses, burnout, and financial challenges. Speakers from family and addiction mental health will provide valuable insights, fostering empathy and understanding.

Full-Cycle Look into Adulthood:

  • Tailored to different age groups, our program provides a comprehensive, age-appropriate exploration of the various aspects of growth and adulthood. From understanding workplace stresses to empathizing with family situations, we aim to equip our youth with a well-rounded perspective.

Introducing the Intro Career and Life Management (CALM) program by the Cool Aid Society, designed for school-aged children from kindergarten to grade 6.

 

This initiative empowers kids to start their own businesses, focusing on positive money management, financial literacy, mental health, and the essentials of running a home-based business.

 

Through hands-on projects and guidance from community volunteers, including accredited experts, children learn about different work environments, effective communication, conflict resolution, and budgeting.

 

The program culminates in a Cool Aid Dragons' Den, where young entrepreneurs pitch their ideas and sell their products, with proceeds going to charity, fostering a complete understanding of business operations. Join us in shaping the future generation of leaders and innovators.

 

Ages 5-12/13 Kindergarten to Grade 6

Introducing the Advanced Career and Life Management (CALM) program by the Cool Aid Society for older students.

 

This comprehensive initiative empowers youth to develop businesses from idea to full-scale operations, focusing on website creation, product development, patents, and more. With guidance from community volunteers and experts, students learn advanced financial literacy, business development, digital marketing, and legal aspects of business.

 

The program culminates in a Cool Aid Dragons' Den, where students pitch their ideas and launch their products, with proceeds going to charity. Join us in shaping the future generation of top entrepreneurs and business leaders.
