Cool Aid Bang

Drop & Shop

🎄Cool Aid Society is opening its doors by appointment on weekends from now until Christmas.

Your kids will have a fantastic time in our fun and safe environment while you shop stress-free.

From November 30th to December 22nd, with no coverage on December 8th as we have an Event where a certain jolly person and someone green will be on site for pictures.

 

Drop off your kids for a day of fun and creativity while you take care of your holiday to-do list! At Cool Aid Society, we provide a safe and engaging space filled with games, crafts, activities, and more.

 

Your child must be 4-5 years of age and potty trained to participate at facility. You must be fully registered with our program for liability reasons: https://www.himama.com/online_registration/apply/cool-aid-society-1

What to Bring:

Indoor shoes for your child

Nut-free snacks

A refillable water bottle

Anything your child may need for comfort during their time with us

🕙 Hours: minimum 1 hour appointment, can book for full day, but will have to click on each hour. Can book up to 2 hours before anticipated start time.

Saturdays: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Sundays: 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Career & life Management 

August - December 2024

Embark on an extraordinary journey with our upcoming Career and Life Management program in 2024!

Designed to ignite the passion for exploration and personal development, this program offers an unparalleled opportunity for youth aged 5 to 18 with parent/ guardian permission.

Imagine delving into the real-world experiences of local professionals, from trades to innovative entrepreneurs, unlocking the secrets of diverse industries. With a special focus on financial literacy, entrepreneurial ventures, and professional development, this program goes beyond traditional learning.

Youth will actively engage in creating group businesses, learning to navigate the complexities of running an enterprise with guidance from industry experts. We don't just stop at career insights; we weave mental health and wellness awareness into every aspect, ensuring our youth are equipped for the challenges of adulthood. Join us in shaping a future where our youth not only thrive in their chosen careers but also develop into well-rounded individuals.

Afternoons- Thursdays- 4:00pm to 5:30 pm for ages 5-12/13

Evenings- Thursdays- 6:00- 7:30 pm for ages 13-18

April- June 2024

ART MATTERS Collaboration on MENTAL HEALTH AND HOPE

We're SOOOOOO Excited for a collaboration with the one and only local Artist Serena Love! 

She will be on site Starting April 2024 and is going to inspire our youth in both the Afterschool Program and the Pre-Teen Teens. 

Join us Thursdays to catch her as she meets the kiddos and has them help her beautify our space with new murals!

Mental Health Collaboration

February- June 2024

Together with our Collaborative Partners Cool Aid Society is excited to be hosting at our facility: Community Helpers Program (CHP) is an Alberta Health Service funded certificate program, a collaborative effort with the Resource Centre for Suicide Prevention. Designed for youths aged 5 to 18, this unique program tailors its content to three age groups: 5-14, 10-14, and 14-18.

Participants will be placed in groups that best suit their developmental needs.

We will be hosting these Monday, Wednesday and Friday in conjunction with our other activities and will be for 45 mins to 1 hour offered in engaging and interactive curriculum. 

 

The program encompasses a variety of modules, fostering essential skills for mental health support. Some of the key modules include:

  • Ethics, Assumptions, and Labels

  • Doing the Right Thing: Helping Ethics

  • Assumptions We Make About Others

  • Supporting Each Other

  • Setting the Stage for Helping

  • Earache/Psychache: Common Language

  • Tuning In to The Need For Help

  • The Foundations of Helping: Listening and Attending

  • Boundaries and What to Do About Them

  • Creating Boundaries

  • Managing Boundaries

  • Crisis Response

  • Mental Health Awareness

  • and for the older groups, Understanding Suicide and Prevention


Join us in providing a tailored, age-appropriate approach to mental health education and support. Together, let's equip our youth with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate life's challenges and support one another.

Program will run: 

Afternoons- Mondays- 4:30 pm  for ages 5-14 ending May 2024 

Evenings- Preteen (Tween)- Wednesdays- 6:30 pm for ages 10-14 ending June 2024

Evenings- Teens- Fridays- 6:30 pm for ages 14-18 ending June 2024

Program will continue Monthly Wednesdays for Pre-Teen and Teens into September 2024- June 2025!
